Step 1

With the computer turned off, connect the modem to the computer, telephone line, and power supply. Turn on your computer. The operating system will automatically detect the presence of a modem and connect it, all that remains is to configure the modem and connection. If the modem is not detected by the system, then it is necessary to carry out the hardware installation through the menu "Start> Control Panel> Hardware Installation".

Step 2

To configure the modem in router mode, open any browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. (192.168.0.1). After going to the address, you will be prompted to enter your login (Admin) and password (Admin or 1234). After confirming the entered data, you will be redirected to the modem's web configurator page.

Step 3

Select the "Advanced" configuration mode and click the "Apply" button. In the menu that opens, enter the Network section and select the WAN item. Enter the data received from the provider. Set the values "VPI # = 1", "VCI # = 32", "PPPoE". Click the "Apply" button to save the settings.

Step 4

To configure the modem in bridge mode, repeat step 1 and step 2. Then go to the WAN tab. In the Internet connection settings, set the "Mode" item to the "bridge" position. Click the "Apply" button to save the settings. The Internet connection is configured using the Internet Connection Wizard, which is invoked through the Start menu> Control Panel> Network and Internet Connections> Internet Connection Settings.
