To connect a computer outlet, you need to mount the base of the outlet into the wall. In the second part of the socket, you need to connect the wires, following the color scheme.
Necessary
- - screwdriver
- - a hammer
- - chisel
- - voltage meter
- - level
Instructions
Step 1
Care must be taken when installing the outlet. Depending on the type of work, you will need a large number of tools (screwdriver, hammer, chisel, voltage meter, level).
Step 2
You must follow the rules for laying electrical wires: the walls must be level and provide a solid, stable support for the busbar trunking. The maximum length of the busbar trunking must be no more than 54 m from the connection point of the supply cable in both directions. If it is planned to install a longer busbar trunking, it is necessary to provide an additional input of the supply cable.
Step 3
Switch off the power supply before installation.
Important: A maximum load of not more than 1500 watts is allowed.
Step 4
Unpack the packaging with the mains socket. Prepare a network cable for mounting a computer socket. The cross-section of the multi-core supply cable and the typical grounding cable must be at least 2.5 mm2.
If possible, you can hide the cable in the wall or a special cable box that is pre-installed on the wall. Leave a piece of cable sticking out of the wall (an outlet should be located in this place) no more than half a meter long. Fasten the base of the junction box (left or right) with screws at the required height, but not less than 35 mm from the floor.
Step 5
Install the base of the computer socket into the wall so that the section of the network cable is visible from it. Remove the cable insulation. Straighten and separate the twisted pair wires.
Take the second part of the computer socket in hand. On the back there is a color scheme that matches the color of the wires in the twisted pair cable. Use a cross-connect knife, with which you need to mount all the twisted pair wires into the second part of the computer socket as indicated on the color scheme.
Step 6
Finish working on the mains wires and carefully connect both sides of the computer socket. Insert the base of the plug into the grooves at the end of the front panel of the busbar trunking. Insert the front panel into the trunking base and then fix the plug base to the wall. Install the top cover of the plug by snapping it onto the base and fixing it to the screws.
