In the distant nineties, most foreign films came to us on videotapes. The videotape did not provide any additional features besides integrated translation and embedded subtitles. Today we can watch movies on a computer, being able to add subtitles in different languages and change audio tracks by choosing the original sound or different translations.

Instructions

Step 1

Before running the movie on your computer, you should make sure that you do not have any problems with audio and video playback. The fact is that when creating films in popular formats, special codecs are used. If the movie was recorded in a particular format using a later version of the codecs than those installed on your computer, you may not hear sound or video during playback. The current set of codecs can always be downloaded from one of the addresses on the Internet: www.codecguide.com, www.k-lite-codec.com or others

Step 2

To change the audio track when playing a movie, you need to make sure that there are multiple tracks in the video file. Audio tracks can be either "embedded" or located in the same folder as the video file. Audio tracks must have the same name as the video file, except for the extension after the period.

Step 3

So, launch Windows Media Player and expand the window to full screen so that the menu bar appears at the top. Go to the Now Playing tab and drag the movie and audio tracks folder into the player window. Now go to the "Playback" menu and then "Audio and language recordings". You will see a list of all audio tracks. Choose the one you need.
