In the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about the problem of piracy and the responsibility of the buyer for the purchased goods. But what if the seller leaves the buyer no choice? If a customer wants to buy a truly licensed disc and thinks that he bought it exactly? How to distinguish a fake? There are several important points to look out for when buying a disc.
Instructions
Step 1
The most important difference is the price of the disc. A licensed disc cannot cost less than 600 rubles. If in doubt, visit the manufacturer's website and check the price there. If the disc is of a foreign manufacturer, translate the price according to the exchange rate of the national bank.
Step 2
Pay attention to the design of the disc cover. An unlicensed disc is most often designed accordingly: the image will be of low quality and on thin paper. The translation of the description will be incomplete, some of the information will be indicated in English (do not confuse this information with the names of spare parts for components and programs - they are usually not translated). Pirate production does not imply money for quality design.
Step 3
Pay attention to the packaging of the disc. Licensed discs have high-quality, strong packaging, often transparent in color, with a convenient fastening of the disc in the middle. Pirate discs are usually encased in poor quality black plastic. It is also worth noting that the information about the manufacturer is fully described on the licensed discs. As practice shows, licensed discs have built-in protection that does not allow creating copies, and there are also special check numbers on the box that must be entered when installing the game.
Step 4
Pay attention to the presence of holograms and bonuses in the disc packaging. Pirate discs may contain fake holograms, but you will never find bonus information in the form of booklets or coupons, which are also well-designed. If you still have doubts about the disc that you want to purchase, ask the seller to present documents for the purchased item. Any invoice or certificate confirming the purchase from the supplier will do.
