To create your own video clip based on the moments of the Counter-Strike game, you must first record a demo of the gameplay. To do this, you need to take into account several features.
Necessary
- - Counter-Strike;
- - Fraps.
Instructions
Step 1
First download and install the Counter-Strike game. This is required to record and play the demo. Run the hltv.exe file and type connect 99.56.15.65:27016, where the numbers represent the server's IP address and port.
Step 2
Now type the command record namedemo. Immediately after pressing the Enter key, the hltv-demo of the gameplay will start recording. To stop recording, type stop and press Enter.
Step 3
Now start the Counter-Strike game and type the command viewdemo name in the console. Wait a while until the recording is fully loaded. Now select the player or location you want. Use the scroll bar to rewind the hltv entry to the desired point.
Step 4
Minimize the game. Install Fraps software. Configure the settings for this utility. Run it and open the General tab. Uncheck Fraps window always on top. This will allow you to hide the program window if necessary. Now open the FPS tab. Uncheck the Stop benchmark automatically checkbox if you do not want video recording to automatically turn off after a certain period of time.
Step 5
Now open the Movies tab. If you need to record sound while playing, check the box next to the Record Sound parameter. Find the Full-size item and activate it. Set the desired frames per second for the video being recorded. It is recommended to use 99 FPS, because that is how much Counter-Strike gives out.
Step 6
Now just close the Fraps program. Run the required moment of the demo and press the F9 button to start video recording. Press F9 again to stop recording. The program automatically creates file names, so you can not be afraid that some of the recorded fragments will be erased or overwritten. Free up some hard disk space ahead of time if you want to create a large enough video clip.
