A monitor, like any computer component, needs a driver. In this case, either it is installed from the disk that comes with the monitor, or the display is controlled by the system driver. If you installed a separate driver, then sometimes you need to uninstall it, for example, when changing the monitor model.

Step 1
You can do it like this. Click on an empty inactive area of the desktop with the right mouse button. If your operating system is Windows 7, then in the context menu that appears, select "Screen Resolution". Owners of the Windows XP operating system must select Properties.
Step 2
In the next window, select "Advanced options", then - "Monitor". Then click "Properties" and go to the "Driver" tab. Then click on "Delete". Then close all running programs and windows. Reboot your computer. After restarting your PC, the monitor driver will be removed from your system.
Step 3
You can also use additional software to remove the drivers. A very good program of its kind is called Driver Cleaner Pro. Find it on the Internet (it is free), download and install it on your computer hard drive. The advantage of this method is that in addition to removing the driver itself, the program will clean up the system registry.
Step 4
Run Driver Cleaner Pro. There is an arrow on the right side of the program window. Click on this arrow with the left mouse button. A list of drivers that are installed on your computer will appear. Go through this list and find the monitor driver. Next, click on its name with the left mouse button, then in the program menu, click on the Add button. Then click Start. The process of deactivating the drivers will begin. Wait for it to complete.
Step 5
After uninstalling the drivers, a report will appear. Close all active windows. Now restart your computer. After restarting it, the monitor drivers will be permanently removed, and the system registry is cleared. Also Driver Cleaner Pro can be used to remove video card drivers.
