Hewlett-Packard printers are fairly common. If you have such a printer, and for some reason want to change it to another, then before connecting a new one, you will need to uninstall the HP printer driver. Also, if you are simply changing one Hewlett-Packard model to another, then the driver versions for the other model may not work. In this case, it is also advisable to remove the drivers of the old version, and only then install the new ones.

Step 1
The printer driver is separate software. Accordingly, you need to delete it like a regular program. There are several ways to do this. The first way. Click Start. Select "All Programs". Look for the Hewlett-Packard software in the list of programs. The list of possible actions should contain the "Delete" option. Select this option. After that, the uninstallation wizard will start. After uninstalling, restart your computer.
Step 2
Another way to remove the driver is this. Open the root folder where the printer software is installed. The executable file Uninstal.exe should be in this folder. Double click on the file. After that, the uninstallation wizard will start.
Step 3
You can also use special uninstaller programs to remove the driver. The advantage of uninstalling using such programs is that they remove all of its components. And after uninstallation using standard operating system tools, individual software components and some registry entries may remain on the hard disk.
Step 4
Download the Revo Uninstaller utility from the Internet. This is a pretty handy program with an intuitive interface. Install it on your computer. Run the program. Next, in the window that opens, find the Hewlett-Packard software. Click on it with the right mouse button. In the menu that appears, select "Delete". In the next window, confirm the deletion.
Step 5
In the "Select uninstallation method" window, set "Medium". Proceed further. In the "Found Registry Entries" window, check "My Computer" and click "Delete". Then proceed further. The Forgotten Files window appears. In the "Forgotten files" window, check the "Delete all" item. Then click Remove. Close the program window. This completes the uninstallation procedure.
