One of the most vulnerable parts of a laptop is the keyboard. It can easily be disabled by spilling liquid, clogging it with small debris or crumbs when eating. Thorough periodic cleaning of the keyboard will help prolong the life of a laptop, since it is through it that dirt and dust gets to the internal devices. It is possible to determine that the laptop needs more serious cleaning by the overheated surface and increased noise.
Instructions
Step 1
The keyboard can be cleaned in many ways, but it is better to combine several of them. Start by cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, but do not suck up dust and debris, but rather blow it out. Then everything that has settled on the buttons, contacts and between the buttons is blown out instead of settling on the internal devices.
Step 2
Small vacuum cleaners for the keyboard appeared on the free sale not so long ago, but it should be borne in mind that their power is too weak for thorough cleaning of the contacts and the rubber band under the buttons.
Step 3
In specialized stores, you can find laptop cleaning wipes and brushes. The brush removes the dirt between the keys, and the napkins clean the buttons. This option is considered superficial and should be cleaned, therefore, the insertion device needs to be cleaned every 2-3 days.
Step 4
A standard laptop keyboard cleaning kit consists of a small brush, cleaning fluid and tissue. Using this set, you will not need a thorough cleaning of the input device in the service center for a long time.
Step 5
You can carefully remove the keys with a screwdriver, clean the contacts. To do this, disconnect the laptop from the power supply, remove the battery, remove the keys, lifts and films with soft movements. The lifts are attached to the key in four places and, when removing them, it is necessary to ensure that there is no break in the places where its two parts are fastened. The design of the keyboard can be different and the elevator is not always removed the same way, most often the elevator must be moved forward to one of its mountings in order to disengage.
Step 6
If the button was removed with the elevator, remove the elevator, insert it back into the keyboard, wipe off the dirt, and only then reinstall the key. To do this, attach the key exactly to the place where it was located, that is, not higher or lower than that position, and start snapping it from bottom to top.
Step 7
Be sure to wipe all accessible places with a napkin, inspect the conductive paths. If damage is found, they must be repaired, which is better not to do it yourself, but to return the laptop to a service center.
