Adjusting the parameters of the central processor is one of the most important stages of computer optimization. It is the most dangerous method to speed up your PC.

Instructions
Step 1
Using incorrect CPU parameters may damage this device. That is why it is necessary to constantly monitor its condition. Download and install Speccy. Launch it and go to the "CPU" menu. Look at the temperature sensor reading. Find out the bus speed and processor multiplier.
Step 2
Restart your computer and enter the BIOS menu by pressing the Delete key. Now press the F1 and Ctrl buttons at the same time. After additional menus appear, go to Advanced Setup or CPU Settings. The total frequency of the central processor is obtained by multiplying the multiplier by the bus frequency. As you can imagine, there are two ways to overclock the CPU.
Step 3
Increase the bus frequency first. This method allows for improved performance gains. If the multiplier of the processor is in the range of 7-12, then increase the bus frequency by 20-30 Hz. Find the CPU Voltage item and raise the CPU voltage. If you are using a multi-core processor, then symmetrically change the values of all cores. Save the settings for this menu. Restart your computer by choosing Save & Exit.
Step 4
After the operating system has finished loading, run the Speccy utility again. Make sure the temperature does not exceed the maximum allowable value. Estimate the increase in the clock speed of the central processor.
Step 5
Return to the BIOS menu again by restarting your computer. Repeat these cycles until you achieve optimal CPU performance. Be sure to check the temperature after each cycle of increasing the CPU frequency. Run "heavy" applications periodically to make sure that the temperature does not rise to a critical level, even when the CPU is fully loaded.
