Interfaces of graphical shells of modern operating systems have a long history of development and improvement. They follow the concepts of ergonomics, intuitiveness and efficiency. Many GUI components are implemented unchanged in almost all shells. This includes the Quick Launch Bar. This component is a small panel with shortcuts to applications or documents. You just need to add the required element to the quick launch panel and in the future it can be launched in one click.

Instructions

Step 1

Display the Quick Launch Bar. Right-click an empty space on the taskbar. A context menu will appear. Select the "Toolbars" item in it. A sub-menu appears. Check the "Quick Launch" item in it. A quick launch bar appears next to the taskbar.

Step 2

Find the item you want to add to the Quick Launch. Double click on the "My Computer" icon located on the desktop. In the window that appears, open the disk on which the object is located. Sequentially opening the directories, go to the folder with the object. The object can be an application file, document file, folder, or shortcut.

Step 3

Add an item to the Quick Launch. Select the object in the folder contents browser window. Move your mouse cursor over it. Press the left mouse button. Without releasing the buttons, move the cursor to an empty space on the Quick Launch bar. Release the mouse button. The object will be added to the Quick Launch.

Step 4

Edit the properties of the shortcut in the Quick Launch. Right click on the shortcut of the newly added object. In the menu that appears, select "Properties". The shortcut properties dialog will open. In it, you can edit the name of the shortcut displayed in the tooltip, the working folder, and the application launch parameters if the shortcut points to an executable file.
