Users can place shortcuts to frequently used applications and folders on the desktop. But sometimes there are too many icons, and not everyone likes it. In this situation, you can add some of the icons from the desktop to the Quick Launch bar. To do this, you need to take several steps.
Instructions
Step 1
The Quick Launch is located on the taskbar to the right of the Start button. To add an icon to it, select the desired icon on the desktop (or in the directory where your file is saved), left-click on it and, while holding down the button, drag the file icon to the panel. Release the mouse button.
Step 2
Icons can be moved not only one at a time, but also as a whole group. To add several icons to the quick launch panel at once, first select them with the left mouse button. Then move the cursor to any of the selected files and repeat the steps described in the previous step.
Step 3
If not all icons appear on the Quick Launch, you need to expand the area of the panel. To do this, right-click in any free space on the taskbar and remove the marker from the "Dock taskbar" item in the drop-down menu. The taskbar area will be split into separate blocks.
Step 4
Move your mouse cursor to the right edge of the Quick Launch bar and wait for it to appear as a double-headed horizontal arrow. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the edge of the Quick Launch bar to the right. When you are satisfied with the result, release the mouse button.
Step 5
Take your time to pin the taskbar. First, decide which icon size suits you best: large or small. Right-click in a free area of the Quick Launch and select View from the drop-down menu. In the submenu, mark with a marker one of the options: "Large icons" or "Small icons".
Step 6
You can also increase the height of the taskbar and, accordingly, the quick launch bar. To do this, move the cursor to the top of the panel and wait until it becomes a double-sided vertical arrow. Click and hold the left mouse button. Pull the panel up.
Step 7
The taskbar can be located not only at the bottom of the monitor screen. You might like it better if it is on the top or side of the screen. Move the cursor to the panel, hold down the left mouse button and move the panel to the left, right or up. After that, right-click on the taskbar and mark the "Dock taskbar" item in the menu with a marker.
