Macros are mini-programs that are recorded during the creation of a document and are designed to make your work easier and faster. They record various formatting options, chunks of frequently repeated text, and much more. In programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, you do not need to have special knowledge, all actions are simple and intuitive.

To create a macro in the menu of the "Service" program used, you need to find the item "Macro" - "Start recording". The "Record Macro" window opens. At the top, set a name for the macro (by default, there is already a name, you can change or leave it). Below, select how you want to run it. Available options are an icon on the toolbar or hotkeys. If you select the "Panels" button, then after creating a macro, you can run it by clicking on the newly created icon. This is not always convenient, especially if there are many macros. It is much easier and clearer to set hotkeys. By clicking on the "Keys" button, you will be taken to another window where you need to set the desired combination from the keyboard (for example, ctr + F1). To finish, click the "Assign" button. Below you can choose the option to save the macro - for all documents (Normal. Dot - set by default) or for this particular one. Now click "OK" and start recording.

The document will open and a small Stop panel will open. It has only two buttons - "Stop" and "Pause". Pause is used to temporarily pause the recording. All movements from this moment will be recorded in the macro. When you have finished formatting, typing text or drawing, click on the "Stop" button. The work on recording the macro is completed. Now when creating a document, just type the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F1. Everything that was recorded in the macro will automatically be embedded in the text, table or picture.

In PowerPoint (it does not set a hotkey or icon), you will find your macro in the menu "Tools" - "Macro" - "Macros". Here you can also change an already created macro, delete it, rename it, etc. Outlook, Access also has the ability to create macros, but this process will require some knowledge of the Visual Basic programming language.
