The standard set of fonts is installed on the computer when the operating system is loaded. However, it is often necessary to supplement this set to expand the possibilities and fulfill the creative intent. To do this, you need to find and install a new font; in the Windows environment, even an inexperienced user can cope with this task.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the font you need from the Internet. Find it on a specialized site. Review the options. If they meet the necessary requirements, click on the Download button. In the window that appears, select "Save As". In the window that opens, specify the folder where you want to copy the file. Click "Save".
Step 2
Open the folder where the file was copied. Typically, the font file is packed into an archive document. To extract it from the archive, right-click on the font file shortcut. In the window that appears, select "Extract Files". In the Extraction Path and Parameters window, select the folder and parameters required for extraction, or leave the default parameters. Click Ok. The file will be unzipped.
Step 3
Click on the shortcut of the folder that appears. Its contents will open. As a rule, these are several files. Among them, select a file of type TTF Image. Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Copy" in the context menu that appears.
Step 4
Click on the "Start" button. Select "Control Panel", "Appearance and Personalization", then "Fonts". In the window that opens, right-click on the empty field and select "Paste". The font file will be copied.
Step 5
You can also use hotkeys to copy and add a file. So, in order to copy one or several files, select them and simultaneously press the Ctrl C combination. To paste the copied files, open the folder where you want to place and press the Ctrl V combination.
Step 6
You can delete the original folder from which the font file was copied from your computer.
