Instructions

Step 1

Launch Photoshop and load the image into which you want to add the caption. These two operations can be combined - right-click on the desired picture in the "Explorer" or on the desktop. On the pop-up menu, expand the Open With section and choose Adobe Photoshop.

Step 2

Select "Horizontal Text" or "Vertical Text" from the toolbar - they are attached to the icon with the letter "T". This can be done from the keyboard, just press the key with the Russian letter "E" or Latin T.

Step 3

Click on the desired place in the picture, and Photoshop will turn on the text input mode. Type the lettering, regardless of its size, color and font.

Step 4

Turn off the editing mode by clicking in the toolbar, for example, on the very first icon - the "Move" tool. Now you can use the "Symbol" panel to adjust the parameters of the inscription. If it is not in the interface of the graphical editor, open the "Window" section in the menu and select the "Symbol" line.

Step 5

In the upper left drop-down list of the panel, select the required typeface, and in the list placed next to it, set the desired type of letters.

Step 6

The second line of the "Character" panel contains control elements that set the font size and line spacing, and the third - responsible for the distance between letters. Set the desired values for these settings.

Step 7

In the fields marked with a symbol made up of the letter "T" and double-headed arrows (vertical and horizontal), you can set the proportions of the letters of the inscription. Set the desired width and height percentages.

Step 8

By clicking on the rectangle next to the "Color" caption, open the palette and select the desired color shade for the caption.

Step 9

Use the miniature buttons at the bottom of the panel to make additional changes to the style of the inscription characters - make them strikethrough, underline, superscript, subscript, etc.

Step 10

Save the image with the printed text. The easiest way is to call the save dialog by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl and S keys.
