Photoshop is not only an image editor that allows you to enhance amateur shots to the level of professional ones. Photoshop is also a great program for photomontage and creating interesting collages. And in this case, the basic skill is adding objects to the image.
Instructions
Step 1
Open two images from the File → Open tab. From one of them you will cut an object, the other you will need to complete with an object. Place the windows side by side. Activate the navigator in the Window tab to scale the image from which you want to cut the object.
Step 2
To cut out part of the image, take the Polygonal Lasso Tool. Enlarge the image with the desired object up to 200-300% and higher, if necessary. Place a point on the outline of the object. Extend a short line from a point and add another.
Step 3
Draw the entire outline of the object in this way, trying to put points at a small distance from each other so that the edges of the object are smoother. Close the selection to the first point, or press the Ctrl key and, while holding it, click where the first point should be approximately. After that, a selection will appear in the form of a running dashed line.
Step 4
To cut out a small or complex object without jaggies and keeping smooth lines, take the Pen Tool. In the top bar, under the tabs, you will see three squares. Consecutively move the cursor over them, click on the box Paths ("Paths / paths"). Place a point on the outline of the object. Without releasing the mouse button, drag the line in the desired direction - this will create a guide, relative to which the contour will be further drawn.
Step 5
Click somewhere else, not very far from the first point, and drag the line again. Both points will connect to create a smooth line. In this way, create a path over the boundaries of the object. Snap it to the starting point and then right-click inward from the pen. Click on Make Selection. In the field Feather Radius ("Feather Radius") put 0 to make the path clear, or any other number to make the path more blurred. Click "OK" to create a selection.
Step 6
If the subject is on a solid background, use the Magic Wand. In the panel below the top menu, set a low value for Tolerance ("Tolerance") to make the selection area more precise. Click on the background, click inside the created selection with the right mouse button. Select Select Inverse from the menu that appears. The object will be highlighted.
Step 7
To transfer the desired object to the image, take the Move Tool or press V. Place the cursor with a black arrow and small scissors inside the selected object. Drag and drop over the image and position as needed.
Step 8
To add an object, open the Edit tab and click on Copy. Click on the window with the image where you want to insert the object. Open the Edit tab again and choose Paste. Adjust the position of the object with the Move Tool.
