Step 1
For such situations, a paging file or virtual memory was developed. Usually Windows sets the optimal amount of virtual memory. It is enough for many tasks. If your computer is running applications that consume a lot of memory, you can increase the amount of virtual memory. This is very easy to do. To do this, click on the "Start" menu. Right click on My Computer. Select Properties. The "System Properties" window will open in front of you. There go to the "Advanced" tab. Click on the "Options" button, which is located in the "Performance" section.

In the Performance Options window, click the tab called Advanced. Click the Change button in Virtual Memory. In the new "Virtual Memory" window you can manage the paging file. If set to System Selectable Size, you can change the size of the paging file. Select the drive to be used for the paging file. Determine the Custom Size value. In the "Initial size" and "Maximum size" fields, enter the minimum and maximum values for the paging file.

You can do it a little differently. First, determine how much RAM you have. To do this, go to "My Computer". Open Properties with the right mouse button. Look at the information on the General tab. Determine the amount of extra memory you need. Right click on the My Computer tab. Select Properties. Click the Performance tab. Click on the "Virtual Memory" button and "Manual Virtual Memory Settings". Select the hard drive that you will use for virtual memory. Set the minimum and maximum amount of virtual memory. Click the "OK" button and restart your computer.
