Instructions
Step 1
If a virus banner appears on the screen, try restarting your browser or operating system. If that doesn't work, open Task Manager. This is done by pressing the Alt + Ctrl + Delite keyboard shortcut, or by right-clicking on the Quick Launch bar.
Step 2
In the new window that opens, go to the "Applications" tab. Find the viral banner in the list of open programs, you will recognize it by the shortcut or by the name of the program that you did not launch. Select it with the right mouse button and click End Task. If that doesn't work, go to the adjacent tab - Processes.
Step 3
Find the process in the list that was started by the malware. It usually has a strange name made up of characters from various alphabets and numbers. Rewrite this title. Right-click on it and select End Process Tree. After that, open the system registry editor by entering the "Run" command from the "Start" menu.
Step 4
Enter regedit in the line that appears, expand the folder tree on the left side of the screen in the window that appears and manually delete all directories with the same name. If it doesn't work, try starting your computer in Safe Mode by restarting it and pressing F8 while turning it on. Next, select safe mode and repeat the steps.
Step 5
After that, download any anti-virus system of the latest version and run a full scan of your computer, including RAM, removable media, and so on.
