Removing a computer virus usually consists of three stages: installing an antivirus that can remove malware, scanning for viruses using a thorough scan of hard drives, and removing detected viruses. Malicious programs are often protected against attempts to install an antivirus program, and the files that belong to it are immediately deleted. This happens even during the installation of the program. To avoid this problem, you need to either boot into safe mode (press F8 during reboot), or boot from a bootable disk, having previously installed the DVD drive in the BIOS first in the boot order.
Step 2
At the next stage, a situation is possible when, after scanning all hard drives, you have not found viruses. Maybe the virus is very new and has not yet entered the anti-virus program's database. In this case, find an antivirus on the Internet that you do not need to install and that has a fresh virus database.
Step 3
At the third stage, you may be faced with the fact that the virus can "fit" into the program that you need. If the antivirus cannot remove the malicious program from the desired one, then you will have to remove both. It is possible that the virus infected the file you need. Usually there is no copy of such files. If in doubt, it is best to seek help from a specialist who can save your file. Files of the operating system itself can also be infected. In this case, it is likely that it is easier to reinstall the system than to remove viruses from its files. In this case, you need to copy all the necessary files from the hard disk and format it. These copied files also need to be carefully checked for malware and deleted. Otherwise, another infection is likely to occur.
