Often the question arises before novice computer users - how to play audio files. After all, everyone wants to listen to music, or, at worst, watch a movie. But a file was found, the extension of which does not allow standard programs to reproduce it. In this case, you do not need to be upset and nervous. You just need to pick up and read the appropriate article.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to try to find out what the whole "root of evil" is and why the sound is not played. In fact, the reasons are not so much in the player as in the technology or drivers. But first things first.
Step 2
If the system unit is brand new, then most likely the hardware is in order. But on the base where the components were assembled and the operating system was installed, they could "accidentally" make a mistake and not install a decent enough system software. That is, for some reason, the computer simply might not have sound drivers. This oversight must be corrected, otherwise you will only hear the sound of a running fan cooling the processor and video card.
Step 3
But back to the topic. One of the most popular sound packs is the K-lite Mega Codek Pack. It includes the required set of drivers plus the "Media Player Classic". This player is one of the best and most user-friendly of its kind. It supports most of both video and audio file formats.
Step 4
If all the codecs are installed and all the drivers are in order, the players seem to work, but there is no sound anyway, then in this case, you should pay attention to the operation of the equipment. First, you need to look at the device manager to identify the problem. To find this very device manager, you need to hover over the icon "my computer" and call the context menu by right-clicking. At the very bottom is the "Properties" item. Let's activate it. In the header of the window that appears, we find the "equipment" tab. We pass to it. And already in this tab we are looking for the sub-item "Device Manager" and click on the button with a similar inscription.
Step 5
A window appears with the dispatcher itself. All devices are displayed there. Which are currently connected to the computer. If any of the devices does not work, then it will immediately be seen by the yellow question mark.
Step 6
If there are no such signs, then it is recommended to check the speakers (or headphones), so the problem may be in them. To find out the operability of such equipment, it is connected to another device that needs an external intermediary for sound output. If the speakers do not work there, then the problem is in them. If there are, then the problem is already in the system itself and without the help of a master it is better not to go into this jungle.
