Only small programs run on the Windows operating system without installation. More complex and productive ones require "embedding" into the operating system files through the installation process.
Instructions
Step 1
To install the program, you need to have installation files - the main setup.exe file and additional folders and files attached to it. Insert the disc with the program into your computer's drive or open the location of the installation files in My Computer. Double click on the setup.exe file to start the installation process. If you are doing this from the original disk, then the program should launch a special window in which you need to click "Install the program" or something similar.
Step 2
The Application Installation Wizard, which is a service utility of the Windows operating system, will start. Some programs have their own installation utility (it will differ in appearance and the number of requests to the user), but the meaning is the same - to integrate the program into the operating system.
Step 3
Follow the installation instructions and answer the questions: where to install the program, in which section of the Start menu to place the launch link, whether or not to create a shortcut on the desktop, and others. If the program asks for a serial number or a key, do so. The program can be launched immediately after installation into the system. Some programs may ask you to reboot the system - do it. Check the installation result by running the program after restarting the personal computer.
Step 4
Carefully read the instructions and description of the program before installing unfamiliar applications. Some programs, such as firewall or antivirus, modify the behavior of the operating system. Also, do not forget that pirated software may contain various malicious files.
