Adding your Counter Strike game server to the selected servers menu, located above the main game menu, can be done by the user without involving additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Follow the path cstrike
esource and expand the resource folder. Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item. Expand Accessories and start Notepad. Open the GameMenu.res file in this program. This file contains all the information about the menu. Please note that a clean file called gamemenu-clear.rar is freely distributed on the Internet, designed to facilitate work with other people's assemblies. Download and use this file if necessary.
Step 2
Determine the IP address of your Counter Strike server and save it. Select the desired server name.
Step 3
Leave no changes to the GameMenu line and type the value {"label" "selected_server_name" command " engine connect server_IP_value "} immediately after it. Enter the following value: {" label "} on the next line.
Step 4
Renumber the commands in the game menu. To do this, add ascending ordinal numbers before each menu item so that "1" is immediately after the "GameMenu" {, and the second is before the next "label" line. Save your changes and replace the existing GameMenu.res file with the edited one. If you are using a blank game menu file, you may need to delete the existing file and paste in its place the modified one in a text editor.
Step 5
Start your server and make sure the server name is displayed in the menu. If you need to add several servers, use the above procedure, skipping the step of creating a line with a space {"label" "}.
