Updating computer databases is nothing more than activating the Automatic Updates service. You can enable this service just once and configure it to manage updates on your computer itself.

In the Windows XP operating system, the system update is activated through the System Properties applet. Click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel". In the folder that opens, double-click the left mouse button on the "System" item.

The "System" applet will appear in front of you. Go to the Automatic Updates tab and select Automatic (Recommended). Below this item there are settings for automatic system updates, select the day of the week and time when updates will be downloaded from the developer's web servers.

For the Windows Vista operating system, the order of downloading the update has changed slightly, in addition to the updates that can be obtained using the "Automatic Updates" service, there is the possibility of a special utility from the developer - Windows Update. It can be found in the Start menu, in the All Programs section.
