Step 1
First, try scrubbing the disc with toothpaste and slightly dampening it with water. Use a handkerchief or gauze to clean. Do the movements slowly and always from the center to the edge along the radius of the disc, and vice versa. Rinse off the toothpaste, wipe dry, and try opening it on your computer.
Step 2
Now reduce the speed at which the drive reads data from the disk. If you use a well-known Nero software package, then its distribution, as a rule, includes a utility called Nero Drive Speed. Alternatively, download from the Internet and install a program like CDslow. An important and necessary part of the interface of such programs is intuitive.
Step 3
Install a program to recover data from damaged media on your computer. Some of these programs are BadCopy Pro and AnyReader. And so, let's stop at AnyReader - install it on your PC.
Step 4
Run the program. This will open a wizard window that will guide you through the required actions in accordance with your data corruption case. You need to recover data from a laser disc, and therefore, at the first step, select item 2 - "Copying information from damaged CD / DVD / Blu-ray / HDDVD / Audio CD / Audio DVD".
Step 5
Select in the file tree the ones you want to recover from the damaged disk, mark them with checkboxes, and then click on the "Next" button.

At the 3rd step, select a folder to save files on your computer, check the box "Maintain folder structure" in order to ensure the order of the files in their desired location relative to each other. In the list of copy settings profiles, select the recommended (High-quality information recovery).
Step 7
