When sending files by e-mail, you may encounter a problem when the mail server does not allow sending or receiving a large file. When a file must be sent by all means, and there is no other way, you can "split" it and send it in parts. Do not be alarmed - there will be no sharp fragments!
Instructions
Step 1
Indeed, sometimes it is impossible to move a file to some place without breaking it into parts. It is impossible to do this without improvised means, but sometimes you do not even suspect that the cherished "hammer" that can help you break the desired file into parts is at your fingertips! More precisely, the necessary program that can cut any file into pieces is installed on your computer. Because it is not easy for a user to do without such a program in daily use, and we are, of course, talking about an ordinary archiver such as WinRAR or WinZip.
Step 2
If by some ridiculous accident you do not have an archiver installed, you can download it on the official website of one of the developers of miracle programs. Choose according to your taste - they are not much different, in any case, an ordinary user will not notice the difference. True, you can try and choose a more convenient one for yourself.
Step 3
So, if your choice is WinRAR, you need to right-click on the file that needs to be divided into parts and select the "Add to archive" menu line. In the window that appears, you not only need to select the location and name of the "fragments" (by default, the file cut into parts will fall into the same folder), but also do the most important thing - write a number (unfortunately, only in bytes), which will be the size of each part of the future file … This size must be specified in the "Divide into volumes" box. In general, in the same window, you can select the proposed ready-made sizes.
Step 4
The WinZip program makes it possible to enter the size of a part of a file not in bytes, but in the more usual dimension - megabytes. The breakdown principle is the same as in WinRAR. Follow the same path to achieve the desired result.
Step 5
After the file is cut into parts, you will find several file archives that will allow you to open the entire file only if all the parts are in one folder on your computer.
