Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to decide on the idea of the video, with its plot. Ideally, you want the script according to which you will create the clip. For inspiration, you can watch existing videos on your topic on the Internet. Surely you will accept some good ideas to implement your idea.

Step 2

Then collect as much video as possible. Photos can also be included here. Of course, all the elements of the future clip must be in digital form.

Step 3

Today there are many media file formats, not all can be read in your editing software. Therefore, it is desirable for the sound to be in mp3 or wav format, video in mpeg format (1, 2 or 4), photos and images in jpeg format, since these are the most common formats that can be included in a clip.

Step 4

Video editing programs differ little in their set of functions and, as a rule, are equipped with an intuitive interface. The most popular ones are: Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Nero Vision.

Step 5

The standard program, usually preinstalled or available for free download from the Microsoft website, is Windows Movie Maker. Therefore, if you are faced with the task of putting up a video not for an international competition, but for family viewing, this program is quite suitable.

Step 6

Launch Windows Movie Maker from the Start menu in the All Programs tab. By default Movie Maker will create a new project. Add media files using the "Add" (Import) command from the menu. Transfer the files inserted into the clip to the editing timeline, which is located below in the working window of the program.

Step 7

In the appropriate field, select an effect, transition, or titles (caption) as needed, then add them to the timeline. It is desirable that the visual sequence coincides in duration with the audio track. If the video is longer, shorten it or add audio, and do the same if the audio is longer.

Step 8

Select the "Send" menu (Save / Publish / Export), then "Save to Computer". Specify one of the hard drives and options for saving your clip. For beginners, there is a simplified field in which it is enough to select a quality parameter (good, average, minimum).
