Voice programs date back to the days of Sinclatr computers. They perceived only the Latin alphabet, and pronounced Russian words with a noticeable Polish accent. A modern computer with the help of a special program can reproduce text written in almost any font and in any language.

Step 1
Some versions of Windows have built-in English text reproduction. You can find it through the Start menu. Further steps depend on the version of Windows. If you have XP, find the "Settings" option, and in it - "Control Panel". In the corresponding tab you will find the "Speech" function you need.
Step 2
In Windows 7, the path will be somewhat different, albeit similar. Also press the "Start" button, then immediately go to the "Control Panel". Then look for "Accessibility" and then - "Speech Recognition". Examine the panel and look for the Text-to-Speech function. This is exactly what you need.
Step 3
Try your voice. To do this, there is a special window in the built-in program, into which you need to enter a small text. You will find the window immediately after the offer "Use the following text for the test of voice". Click on "Voice Test" and listen to what happened. Some versions of Windows have the ability to choose the voice that pleases your hearing.
Step 4
The built-in program can read Russian text, but it is written in transliteration. This is pretty awkward. In addition, the ability to play text by voice is not provided in all versions of the operating system. Therefore, choose something else, since there are many programs now, and some can even turn large text into an audiobook. Select a program with suitable system requirements. Consider also what language the text can be written in. This is usually indicated in the description of the software.
Step 5
Download the program and install it on your computer. As a rule, such programs are launched according to the standard scheme and do not take up very much space. Their interfaces, of course, are different, but the principle of operation is approximately the same. The text must be inserted into a special window. Sometimes it is enough just to copy it to the clipboard and press play.

You can also play the text by voice through the browser that you use to work on the Internet. Go to Google search engine. Check the address in the top line - google.ru should be there. You will see different links above the search bar - "Pictures", "Videos", etc. You need the one that says "More". Stand on it and you will see a list of the possibilities that this search service provides. Among them is the "Translator". Open it up. You will see 2 large windows and a smaller window, in which you need to set the language from the proposed list. In the left large window, enter your text. At the bottom of this window, you will see an icon with a gramophone, which just means text playback.
