Performing the user switching procedure in the Microsoft Windows operating system is a standard system operation. Additional software is not used.
Instructions
Step 1
Save any changes to open program files before performing the user switch operation, as the autosave function is not supported by the Microsoft Windows operating system. Doing so may result in the loss of unsaved data when the computer is turned off after using the user switch procedure.
Step 2
Call the main menu of the system by pressing the "Start" button and select the "Shutdown" item.
Step 3
Call the context menu of the selected object by clicking on the arrow next to the required button and select the "Change user" item.
Step 4
Simultaneously press the function keys Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the user selection window and specify the required account.
Step 5
Return to the main menu "Start" and go to the item "Control Panel" to perform the operation to enable the function of fast user switching (if necessary).
Step 6
Expand the User Accounts link and select the Modify User Login section.
Step 7
Apply a check box to the Use Fast User Switching box and click Apply to execute the command.
Step 8
Click OK to confirm the selected changes and return to the main Start menu to enable Fast User Switching Compatibility using Registry Editor.
Step 9
Go to Run and enter regedit in the Open field.
Step 10
Click OK to confirm the launch of the Registry Editor tool and expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesFastUserSwitchingCompatibility branch.
Step 11
Select the Start key and change its value: Start = dword: 00000003.
Step 12
Press Enter to apply the selected changes and navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrsoftNTCurrentVersionWinlogon branch.
Step 13
Make sure the AutoAdminLogon and ForceAutoLogon parameters are zero.
Step 14
Press the Enter softkey to apply the selected changes and exit the Registry Editor utility.
