A cursor is a label element on the screen that allows you to perform various actions. Since the appearance of the first graphical operating systems, the cursor has established itself as the most profitable option among the existing solutions at that time. You can change the mouse cursor using special programs, as well as without using them. Files displaying cursors have their own format (cur). You can find cursor files installed on your computer at the following address: C: WINDOWSCursors. The path to the folder with cursors can be different, depending on the name of the system folder. In some cases, the Windows folder changes to WinXP, WinVista, Win7, etc.

To add new cursor files to the system, just copy the new cursors to the above folder. To set these cursors as the main cursors in the system, you will need to run the computer mouse settings applet. If you have made a choice in favor of Windows XP, click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel", in the window that opens, double-click on the "Mouse" icon. In the Mouse Preferences window, go to the Pointers tab and select the appropriate cursor variation. If cursor files are not automatically added to this list, select a specific cursor, click the Browse button and specify the path to the cursor file. After selecting and placing a new cursor, do not forget to click on the "Apply" button.

If you are using the Windows 7 operating system, select the Personalization section. In the upper left corner, select Change Mouse Pointers. All subsequent steps are similar to the selection of the cursor in Windows XP.

But standard cursors cannot add a special color to your desktop, use special programs such as Cursor XP. This program has a variety of cursor themes, so every user will be able to find something original or unusual. After installing the program, launch the computer mouse settings applet and go to the CursorXP tab. Here you can choose any design for your cursor. Don't have the right themes?
