Consistency is good, but sometimes you want variety. Many are accustomed to changing desktop themes, screensavers, some do not regret spending time changing the standard folder icons to custom ones, and few people think about the appearance of the mouse cursor. And in vain. After all, changing the appearance of cursors is not difficult at all.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to change the appearance of the mouse cursor, select the "Control Panel" item in the "Start" menu and click on it with the left mouse button.
Step 2
Depending on the installed operating system, in the window that opens, you must additionally go to the "Printers and other equipment" section or directly select the mouse icon by clicking on it with the left mouse button.
Step 3
In the new window "Properties: mouse" that opens, left-click on the "Cursors" tab.
Step 4
At the bottom of the window, you can see how the cursor will look when performing certain operations (main mode, link selection, text selection, help selection, and so on). When the window is opened, the cursors that are currently in use are displayed.
Step 5
In the upper part of the window, under the "Scheme" label, there is a drop-down menu that contains different styles for the mouse cursor. After selecting the desired style of cursor design (by clicking on the required line with the left mouse button), you should confirm your choice. To do this, you need to click on the "Apply" and "OK" button.
Step 6
To use the loaded cursors, click on the "Browse" button and specify the path to the folder in which the cursors are stored, confirm the operation by clicking the "Apply" button.
Step 7
As an additional effect, you can enable or disable the display of the cursor shadow. To do this, put a marker in the "Include pointer shadow" field at the bottom of the window.
Step 8
In order to return the previous appearance of the mouse cursor, click on the "Default" button or select the style that was originally set in the drop-down menu. The item "None" means that the cursor will be displayed in accordance with the theme selected for the operating system.
