UAC is a security tool that runs on Windows operating systems. It often happens that it just gets boring and there is a need to turn it off.
User Account Control is a security system that dates back to the Windows Vista operating system. Today it is also used on Windows 7 and Windows 8. In the latest versions of operating systems, it has been improved in such a way that you can choose the degree of operation of this security system. On Windows Vista, it could only be turned on or off. The user can put up with the inconvenience that this protection system causes, but then the computer's security will not be exposed to various threats from the outside. The annoyance with this system appears only at the beginning of working with an operating system that supports such a protection system. Later, the user still gets used to it.
In the event that you nevertheless decide to disable or change the level of "annoyance", then you can do it in different ways (depending on the version of the operating system). On Windows 7 and Windows 8, the user can choose the level of operation of this system in four different gradations. In Windows Vista, it can only be enabled or disabled. All changes must be made only with administrator rights.
Disable UAC on Windows Vista
If you are working with Windows Vista, you can disable User Account Control from the "Control Panel". To disable UAC, go to the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel". Then here you need to find the item "Making changes to the user account." In the window that appears, there will be a line "Enable or disable User Account Control (UAC)" - this is where you need to click. To disable this security system, you just need to uncheck the box and restart your computer. To enable this system, you need to re-tick the box.
There is one more way. To disable UAC, you need to go to the "Start" menu and find the "Run" button (it may be in the "Standard" folder), then in the field that appears, enter the command "msconfig" and then, "Disable UAC". To enable User Account Control, perform the same actions, only the last command will be "Enable UAC".
Disable UAC on Windows 7
On Windows 7, you also need to go to the "Control Panel" and select the "User Accounts" field, then you need to find the line "Change User Account Control". In the window that appears, the optimal for the user, the degree of operation of the security system is selected.
Disable UAC on Windows 8
As for Windows 8, things are a little more complicated here. After starting the operating system, you must press the Win + Q hotkey combination, after which the search bar will appear. In this panel you need to enter UAC, select "Options". In the results, you will see that the line "Change User Account Control Settings" has appeared. After clicking on it, a window will appear where the user can change the level of the UAC system.
On Windows 7 and Windows 8, it is best to choose the penultimate item. In this case, the alerts will not appear as often, but the UAC system will work quite well.
