Instructions

Step 1

If an error appears when you try to open the USB flash drive, start by formatting. This procedure will delete all data and, possibly, bring the flash drive into working condition.

Step 2

Open Windows Explorer and, having selected the USB flash drive in the list of devices, right-click on it. Select the "Format" command, set the fast formatting method and click the "OK" button.

Step 3

Now you should install a program on your computer that will help you recover the lost data. Use the Easy Recovery Professional program, which you can download on the developer's website or on any software portal of the Russian Internet.

Step 4

Run the program and open the "Data Recovery" section. Select Format Recovery. A system scan will start and after a while a warning will appear stating that the files being restored should be saved on a different disk. Click the OK button.

Step 5

In the list of disks on your computer, select the USB flash drive and click "Next". A scan of the memory of the flash drive will begin, during which the deleted files will be found.

Step 6

After the scan is complete, a list of files will open in front of you. Highlight the ones that you need to restore and click "Next".

Step 7

Select the folder on your computer where the recovered files will be saved and click the "Next" button again. Restoration of the marked files will begin, after which all files will be saved in the folder you specified.
