Despite the fact that the fifth part of Heroes of Might & Magic has long ceased to be "the newest in the series", it still has a lot of fans due to its excellent balance and well-planned maps. Unsurprisingly, the online servers are still full of players, each of whom can be challenged to a duel or called to a match.

Instructions

Step 1

Purchase the licensed version of the game and download all the latest additions and patches. If possible, install the Hammers of Fate add-on - it is the last in the series and minimizes possible conflicts with patches.

Step 2

Go to the website https://Ubi.com and register there. When creating an account, you can enter the key to access any game - select Heroes of Might & Magic 5 from the proposed list and enter the key enclosed in the licensed package with the product in the field that appears.

Step 3

Go to the game and select "Play on the Internet". The "Connect to Server" window will appear, after which two fields for authorization will appear - you need to enter your profile data from Ubi.com.

Step 4

After successfully entering the lobby, select the game mode. There are two of them - "normal" game and "duel". The first is an analogue of a "free match": there are several players on the map who can arbitrarily unite in alliances for the sake of victory. A duel is a normal combat round between players. Connect to any available game that is not password protected.

Step 5

During a match, minimize the game to windowed mode. Perhaps this will slow down your system somewhat, but you will get rid of wasted time. The player needs a few minutes just to move all the heroes and make all possible improvements (excluding battles), and if there are 6-7 people on the map at the same time, then the round runs the risk of dramatically dragging on. Windowed mode will allow you to go about your business and at the same time monitor possible changes on the global map.

Step 6

Check out the "tips and tactics" for the game, and it will be useful to pre-play the entire single player campaign. There are no statistics in the game, and therefore you cannot know for sure how strong your opponent will be. A minimal acquaintance with nuances and hints will greatly increase the success of your game.
