Tastes in the world of fashion and beauty are a fluid concept. But there is something that always remains fashionable. For example, timeless and out of competition - red lipstick. Replacing the color of the lipstick in the photo with red (however, like any other), for example, in order to virtually evaluate how much it suits you, it is convenient to carry out in the graphics editor Photoshop.

Tools: Adobe Photoshop

Instructions

Step 1

Open the prepared photo in the editor (Ctrl + O). Of course, it will be easier to cope with the task if the face in the photo without makeup or makeup is light, light. However, you can make the required changes in bright makeup.

Step 2

Now you need to select the lips and transfer them to a new layer. It is convenient to do this in the "Quick mask" mode. To enter this mode, click on the icon marked with a blue circle. Then enlarge the image to make it easy to work with, choose black and paint over the lips with a small brush (try not to go beyond the lip line, otherwise there will be a lot of corrections later). As you paint over, the lips will be covered with a red veil.

When you're done, click on the Quick Mask button again - the lips will be selected. Click in the top menu "Selection" - "Inversion". And then in the menu "Layers" - "Duplicate layer" ("hot keys" Ctrl + J). As a result, you will be able to edit this part of the image (lips only) separately from the rest of the photo.

Step 3

Open the Layers panel, select the topmost layer on which you have the lips, and hold down Ctrl, click on it with the mouse. At the same time, a selection will appear in the form of a thin animated line framing the lips.

Step 4

From the Layers menu, choose New Layer, then Color. A window will appear in which from the drop-down list select the type of blending "Soft light" and click "OK". After that, a standard color palette will appear on the screen. Use the eyedropper to select the desired lipstick color and press "OK".

When choosing a color for lipstick, keep in mind that red has many tones. Pure red is warm. But if you add a little blue to this red, it becomes colder. When yellow is added, it is warmer. This is important, as the lipstick should be matched to the color of the face - warm or cold. Also, one of the main factors affecting the degree of acceptable brightness of lipstick is the contrast of the face. For example, famous actress Demi Moore can use the brightest shade.

Step 5

Darken the lips along the contour. Then highlight a very thin line around this path quite a bit, creating something like a counter path. To top it off, you can lighten the center of the lower lip a little - create a highlight so that the lips do not appear flat. But you need to highlight it not too much so that the color of the lipstick does not lose its brightness and juiciness.
