The mode of displaying site pages in separate tabs instead of separate windows has been used in web surfing programs - browsers - for a long time. Manufacturers of all applications of this kind have come to the conclusion that it is most convenient to place tab labels on a separate menu bar. This panel, like most controls, can be customized by the user, which sometimes leads to its complete disappearance from the program interface.

Instructions

Step 1

Launch Opera and open the main application menu. In normal cases, this is done by clicking on the button with the image of a fragment of the letter "O" - the browser logo. But if your tab bar is not displayed, it is likely that this button has also disappeared from the interface - by default it is located to the left of the missing panel. In this case, you can open the menu using the Alt key.

Step 2

In the menu, select the section "Toolbars", and in it the line "Tabs". After that, a check mark will appear opposite this line, and the desired panel should return to the application interface.

Step 3

There is another way to enable the display of the tab bar. To use it, right-click on any menu item and in the pop-up context menu select the line "Design" in the "Customize" section. The browser will open a separate settings window on the Toolbars tab. Select the checkbox next to Tab Bar and click OK.

Step 4

By default, Opera is installed with the option to use tabs instead of separate windows enabled. However, the user can disable it or such a nuisance can occur as a result of a browser crash. In this case, you need to re-enable the desired setting. To do this, open the main program settings window - open its menu and select the "General settings" item in the "Settings" section. You can do this faster by using the Ctrl + F12 keyboard shortcut.

Step 5

In the preferences window, select the Advanced tab and click the Tab Settings button from the default Tabs section. The button is designed to access additional settings, among which you need to find "Open window without tabs". Uncheck this form field and click on the OK button. Close the main settings window with the same button, after which the tabbed panel will appear in the application interface.
