A computer virus is a malicious program that can replicate itself throughout the system, gradually slowing down its operation. Viruses are capable of performing arbitrary actions that harm your computer. Removing a virus is much more difficult than just getting it. Therefore, you need to be more careful and, just in case, keep a couple of applications that will help you cope with the threat.
Necessary
AVZ anti-malware utility
Instructions
Step 1
In addition to the standard antivirus (NOD32, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Dr. Web), you should always keep a backup utility to combat malware. You can use the free AVZ program, which often helps in the most difficult situations.
Step 2
Download the AVZ program and unpack its archive. The application does not require installation, so it can be stored on a USB flash drive.
Step 3
Run AVZ.exe. Select the menu item "File" - "Database update" - "Start". After the application is updated, close the dialog box with the Close button.
Step 4
On the Search Scope tab, select the hard disks and flash drives used. On the right, check the "Perform treatment" checkbox. In the first four lines of the menu, select the "Delete" item, and in the penultimate one - "Cure". On the last line, also select the "Delete" value. You can check the box next to "Copy suspicious files to quarantine".
Step 5
Click the File Types tab on the top menu. Choose one of three test options ("Very Long", "Long", "Fast"). The longer the check, the better it is.
Step 6
Click the Search Options tab. Move the "Heuristic Analysis" slider to the very top and check the "Advanced Analysis" checkbox. Below, set the parameters "Block RootKit" and "RootKit Kerner Mode". Also check the boxes “Automatically fix errors in SPI / LSP” and “Search for ports”. Specify the "Search Keyloggers" parameter.
Step 7
In the upper part of the window, click "AVZGuard" - "Enable AVZ Guard and AVZ PM" - "Install advanced process monitoring driver".
Step 8
Click the "Start" button and wait for the check to complete. The detected viruses will be removed. After running the program, restart your computer and repeat the scan using a regular anti-virus program.
