Step 1
Open a movie or any other video on a disk, computer, or a removable storage device connected to it using any player that supports this type of file extension, for example, using the standard Windows Media Player program, which every user of Windows operating systems has.
Step 2
Move the pointer to the desired position of the movie throughout the entire segment, and you will be shown in a pop-up message the time from the start of recording. Use the same sequence to rewind audio recordings. This is true for any analog players.
Step 3
To rewind the playing time of a movie you are watching on a DVD player, use the buttons on the remote control or on the front or top of the unit itself.
Step 4
Press and hold the left double arrow button to rewind, press the right double arrow button to rewind the video (or song) playback time. The same applies to home theaters, music centers, portable players, and other similar control devices.
Step 5
If you want to rewind the time of a video or music file played using a browser, move the pointer to the desired position and wait for some of the content to download if your Internet connection is not fast enough to instantly play it from the specified location. This does not apply to all situations, sometimes you need to wait for the file to fully download in the browser to gain access to rewind.
Step 6
Some sites do not have the video rewind function even if it has been fully preloaded. In this case, you can use various programs to extract video from temporary Internet files and view it on a regular player.
