To log on to a computer without any user account in the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, you must first change the security settings to cancel password protection.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Run" item to perform the procedure for changing the login parameters.
Step 2
Enter the value regedit in the Open field and confirm the execution of the command to launch the Registry Editor tool by clicking OK.
Step 3
Expand the registry branch
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Microsoft / WindowsNT / CurrentVersion / Winlogon
and expand the DefaultUserName parameter by double clicking.
Step 4
Enter your username and confirm the selected changes by clicking OK.

Make sure the DefaultPassword parameter exists, or create one. To do this, open the "Edit" menu of the top toolbar of the editor window and select the "New" command. Use the String Parameter item and enter the DefaultPassword value in the Parameter Name field. Confirm the execution of the command by pressing the function key Enter and open the newly created parameter by double-clicking the mouse. Enter the desired password value in the Value field and press the Enter softkey to confirm your choice.
Step 6
Make sure the AutoAdminLogon parameter exists or create one. To do this, open the "Edit" menu of the top toolbar of the editor window and select the "New" command. Use the String Parameter item and enter the value DAutoAdminLogon in the Parameter Name field. Confirm the execution of the command by pressing the Enter function key and open the newly created parameter by double-clicking the mouse. Enter a value of 1 in the Value field and press the softkey labeled Enter to confirm your choice.
Step 7
Exit the Registry Editor tool and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
