Shortcuts are designed to quickly launch files, links to which they store in themselves. Quick Launch Shortcuts are usually located on the Desktop. When installing an application (for example, a game) on a personal computer, its installation program usually asks for the user's consent to create a shortcut on the desktop. If there is no shortcut on the Desktop, then the application can be launched without it.

Step 1
First, make sure that the shortcut for the game you want is definitely missing on your Desktop. It is possible that it was simply renamed or moved.

If there is no shortcut for the game on the Desktop, then open the directory where the game was installed. Typically, the games folder is located on the hard drive where the operating system and, therefore, all standard system folders are located. Usually the path to the game looks like this - "C: Games". Also, game files can be located in the system folder "Program Files". The game folder must contain all the files that ensure the normal operation of the application and its interaction with the system. Among these files there should be one executable file that launches the game itself. In most cases, this file bears the name of the game itself, and its extension corresponds to the executable file (that is, its ending is ".exe"). To start the game, simply double-click on this executable file with the left mouse button.

You can also start the game without a shortcut in another way. To implement it, call the "Start" menu (located on the Taskbar on the left). In the menu that appears, move the mouse cursor over the line "All programs". After that, you will see a list of all programs installed on your personal computer. Among them, find the tab with the name of the game you want and also hover your mouse cursor over it. In the pop-up list, select the line with the name of the game and click. The game will start.
