The most convenient and fastest way to access the application is by launching the program from the desktop. There is no need to open disks or folders. All you need is just a double click of the left mouse button, and the program of your choice will be launched.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to open the system drive of your hard drive. The system drive is the one on which the operating system is installed (by default, drive C). If you open it for the first time and at the same time use Windows XP, a notification will appear that the disk contains files necessary for the operation of the operating system, the contents of which cannot be changed. In fact, it's okay, because no one will experiment with system files. In Windows 7 and Vista, this notification will not appear.

Step 2

On this drive, you need to find the Program Files folder. It is in this directory that all programs are installed by default. Open it and you will see the root folders of the programs. In this list, find the folder with the name of the application that you want to launch from the desktop.

Step 3

Open it and find the executable file. It is with the help of it that the program is launched. The file itself is roughly the name of the application (partial or full), and its extension is written at the end of the name of this file (the extension of executable files is Exe).

Step 4

Click on the executable file with the right mouse button, then move the cursor to the "Send" line. An additional menu will appear. From this menu, select "Desktop, Create Shortcut". Now there is a shortcut to the quick launch of the program on the desktop.

Step 5

The name of the shortcut completely repeats the name of the executable file, so if it does not seem aesthetically pleasing to you, for example, you do not want the Exe extension to be indicated on the shortcut, then you can rename it to any name you like. Now the program can be started by double-clicking the left mouse button.

Step 6

The C Program Files directory is the default directory. If during the installation of the program you changed it, then this means that you need to look for the root folder of the application in the directory that you have chosen to install it.
