The ability to make a screen on a laptop can be useful for students, employees, active Internet users in order to tell others about what they see on their monitor. While this step is easy enough, not everyone knows how to take a screenshot.
You can take a screenshot of the laptop screen directly from the keyboard. You do not need to install special utilities for this. If you need to take a picture of the monitor displayed, look for the button labeled “PrtSc SysRq” in the top row or on the additional keymap.
To some, the set of these symbols may seem mysterious, but in reality everything turns out to be quite simple. PrtScr is abbreviated as “Print screen”, which translates as “Screen print”.
If you press this key at the right moment, it may seem that nothing happened. However, the laptop screen will be saved to the clipboard.
To get it, open a text or graphics editor (for example, MS Word, Paint) and press the key combination “Ctrl + V”. The image will move to the editor. Then it can be edited.
The laptop screen can be saved in the editor in another way - just press the right mouse button and select the "Paste" command in the drop-down list.
It is convenient to make a screenshot on a laptop using special utilities. For example, "Gadwin PrintScreen". It can be downloaded from the Internet. The program takes up little space and can be constantly in the taskbar, that is, it can be loaded when the laptop is turned on.
Pressing the “PrtSc SysRq” key will open a screenshot of the laptop in this program and can be edited. It is possible to select the desired area, resize the sides, enlarge, draw or write something, and so on.
If you've learned how to take screenshots on a laptop, you can also easily send them to your friends on social media. To do this, it is not necessary to save the pictures anywhere, just put the cursor in the message field and press “Ctrl + V”.
