Torrents serve the purpose of exchanging files between Internet users. File transfer is carried out using a special program that distributes information from one computer to others when downloading a specially created torrent file.

Step 1
View your µTorrent software version. This is necessary because there may be certain differences in the sequence of actions associated with changing the interface. The tracker is updated in cases when, for example, you want to check downloaded files, errors, the download process itself as a percentage, and so on. This is also true for the distributions you are downloading or have already downloaded, the list of files of which is gradually replenished with other files.
Step 2
Before updating the torrent, also make sure that you have not removed the desired distribution from the list in the program - in this case, there will simply be nothing to update. This is a fairly common mistake among µTorrent users. For the same reason, do not remove downloaded trackers from the list in case you need to download updates in the future. Also, this function serves to restore connection with the server for the distributions marked in red.
Step 3
If you have one of the older versions of the software installed, just open the main program window and find the distribution you want to update, right-click on it and select “Update torrent”. After that, wait for a certain time until the connection with the server is restored.
Step 4
If you are using alternative downloaders or new versions of the µTorrent torrent client, carefully study the program interface for a similar feature, which should be present in almost every downloader. Do not confuse this feature with updating the software itself.
Step 5
If you experience any problems with the torrent program, update the tracker first. If this does not help, contact the distribution organizer to find out the reasons.
