Instructions
Step 1
If, after downloading updates, you start to receive a notification that your operating system may not be licensed, check it for authenticity on the official Microsoft server (https://www.microsoft.com/genuine/default.aspx?displaylang=ru).
Step 2
If your program is authenticated, but the message still appears every time you download updates, contact Microsoft support. You can also use an alternative option, for this open the Windows folder, go to the system 32 directory.
Step 3
Locate the files WgaTray.exe WgaLogon.dll. The first one is responsible for the appearance of a notification about the authenticity of the operating system. You won't be able to get rid of it in the usual ways - this program starts automatically, you even have to remove it from the list using the task manager. Try to rename it several times after disabling the process, if this does not help, use the registry editing.
Step 4
Start Windows Registry Editor and delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows NT / CurrentVersion / Winlogon / Notify / WgaLogon key. Be careful not to make a mistake with the directory, otherwise the operating system will have to be reinstalled.
Step 5
If your copy of the operating system is not authenticated, exchange it for a licensed copy of Windows by contacting Microsoft. Please note that you must have documents confirming the purchase of unlicensed software that is passed off as real, and you must also have documents that Microsoft can use to find this seller. After that, you will receive a licensed copy of the Windows operating system with a license key.
