Burning your personal film library on CD or DVD media allows you to significantly free up the space of your hard disk. At the same time, your own video library is always at hand. However, over time, the number of disks increases significantly and storage space becomes more difficult to find. The question arises about optimizing the used capacitive resources of disks. In this case, copying two discs onto one can help. In this case, the same information is stored on exactly two fewer media. You can burn two discs to a disc using the Nero application.

Instructions

Step 1

Launch the Nero Burning ROM disc application via the "Start" button. Insert a blank CD into your computer's drive. Its size should not be less than the total amount of information on the two copied disks. In the main menu of the program, open the items "File" "New …". The CD / DVD Burning Wizard starts.

Step 2

In this window, on the right pane, select the type of your disk from the drop-down list: CD or DVD. The list below shows the various modes for writing to disc. For standard copying, highlight the “DVD-ROM (ISO)” or “CD-ROM (ISO)” box, depending on the type of disc you are using. In the main window of the wizard, in the "Multisession" tab, check the "Start Multisession disc" field. Click the "New" button in the window.

Step 3

The application will create a new project to write data to disk. In the right half of the window there is a browser displaying the entire system for searching the recorded information. If you have two disc burners installed on your computer, place the first disc to be copied into the second device. Find the given disk drive in the application browser and open the directory with information to copy.

Step 4

If your computer has only one device for recording and reading CD-, DVD-media, first save all the information from both copied disks to the hard disk of your PC. To do this, create a folder on the hard drive. Insert both discs one by one into the drive and copy all their contents to the folder one after the other. After that, re-insert a blank disc into the drive for recording. In the browser window of the Nero application, specify the folder with the contents to save to disk.

Step 5

Move the entire directory containing the copied information to the left half of the program window. To do this, grab the directory with the mouse and release it on the left half of the window.

Step 6

In the menu, select the item "Recorder" - "Burn compilation …". The window of burning to disk of the entered information will start. Set, if desired, the recording parameters in this window: speed, open or closed disc session and other properties. Click the "Burn" button to start recording.

Step 7

If you are recording data from two discs through the second drive, after the end of the recording, also create the project again and set the “Continue Multisession disc” checkbox in the wizard settings. Insert the second disc to be copied and also move its contents in your browser to a recordable disc.

Step 8

Burn the disc with the same “Burn” command. When finished recording, the unit will pop out its disc tray. Now you have one out of two discs.
