Windows Security Center is a built-in feature of the operating system. Disabling this function is performed by standard methods, but it has some differences in different OS versions.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item to initiate the procedure for disabling the Security Center.
Step 2
Expand the "Performance and Maintenance" node by double-clicking and select "Administration".
Step 3
Call the context menu of the "Security Center" element by right-clicking and select the "Properties" item.
Step 4
Go to the "General" tab of the dialog box that opens and select "Disabled" in the drop-down list of the "Startup type" section.
Step 5
Stop the work of the center in the current session by pressing the "Stop" button in the "Service status" section and confirm the application of the selected changes by pressing the OK button (for Windows XP).
Step 6
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows Vista / 7 operating system by clicking the "Start" button and enter the value services.msc in the text field of the search bar.
Step 7
Confirm the execution of the command by pressing the Enter key and open the Security Center service in the opened directory by double-clicking.
Step 8
Specify the "Disabled" command in the drop-down list of the "Startup type" section and confirm the command execution by clicking the OK button.
Step 9
Return to the main Start menu and enter cmd in the search bar text box to perform the operation to disable security notifications.
Step 10
Confirm the execution of the command by clicking the "Find" button and call the context menu of the found element cmd.exe by clicking the right mouse button.
Step 11
Specify the "Run as administrator" command and confirm your authority by entering the administrator password in the system prompt window that opens.
Step 12
Enter REG Delete HKCRCLSID {FD6905CE-952F-41F1-9A6F-135D9C6622CC} in the Windows command interpreter text box and confirm the command by pressing the Enter function key.
Step 13
Wait for a new confirmation dialog box to appear and press Y.
Step 14
Wait until the following window appears with a message about the successful completion of the operation and close the "Command Prompt" tool to apply the selected changes (for Windows Vista / 7).
