Step 1
Download any program to record what is happening on the screen. There are a lot of such programs, among them the most famous UVScreenCamera, Camtasia Studio, SnagIt and so on. Choose among them the one that suits you. Please note that some demos of such programs can only record a short snippet of what is happening on the screen.
Step 2
Therefore, use free programs or purchase licensed ones. Also, many of them may have different licenses, for example, you can purchase a license for regular recording as a video file, and you can also purchase an additional license for recording sound from a microphone.

Download the program to your computer, check it for viruses. Install by following the instructions in the menu items. If the program is paid, please check its demo version before purchasing. If necessary, complete the software registration. Run it and click on the recording icon in the menu.

If you need to record what is happening on the monitor while you are not at the computer, set up a special timer, which is available in almost every such program. This is very convenient, for example, in cases where you cannot watch any online broadcast.

Please note that to record while you are away, the computer must be turned on, the program is running, the standby or hibernation mode is disabled, and the screen saver should not appear any time soon. Make the appropriate settings in Desktop Properties and Power Scheme Options. Also remember to change it when the computer is running on battery power.

Configure the parameters of the saved video - its maximum size, resolution, frame rate, and so on. It is best not to run concurrently with it programs that consume a lot of system resources. In particular, this applies to the resources of the video card.
