A hard drive is one of the most fragile parts of a computer. It can suffer for various reasons: voltage drops, mechanical damage, built-in defect and others. If one of the hard drive partitions is damaged, use Acronis True Image Home.

Instructions
Step 1
Install Acronis True Image Home. You can find it on the official website of the manufacturer acronis.ru. Run the program and create a special system recovery partition on your hard drive in order to activate the recovery procedure at computer startup in the event of a failure. Typically, such software is installed in the same directory as the operating system of the personal computer.
Step 2
Immediately after starting the computer, press and hold the F11 button. Click in the "Ok" dialog box to start the program. Wait for the program to start. In the main window of the program, click on the item "Recover data". The "Data Recovery Wizard" will start. Click Next to continue.
Step 3
Select the type of recovery. The program will offer you four options, check the "Recover disks and partitions" item. Click Next again. Specify the partition of the hard drive that needs the recovery procedure. Please note that the letters of the sections may differ from the usual ones - justify the choice with the parameters of the section.
Step 4
Start the operation by clicking on the "Proceed" button. Wait for the message that the data has been successfully recovered. Exit the program and restart your computer. The Acronis Recovery Expert module can work with various file systems: Linux Ext2, Ext3, Linux Swap, HPFS, ReiserFS and more familiar FAT16, FAT32, NTFS. It is worth considering that when restoring partitions, a new record is made to the boot section of the MBR hard drive. You can repair damaged operating system partitions at any time. Also try to create backups that are stored on portable storage media.
