Step 1
Make sure your computer model supports rolling back updates to an earlier version. Save copies of the BIOS settings so that after updating they can be easily restored to their usual positions.
Step 2
Choose for yourself which method will be used to update - from a flash drive, disk, or directly from the Internet using the installation of additional software, also provided by the Intel manufacturer. In the first two cases, make sure that your computer supports this type of BIOS update, since these methods are suitable for few of their types.
Step 3
Open the official Intel technical support website in your web browser. In the "Download Center" section, download and save the necessary files to a temporary directory on your computer, taking into account the model of the motherboard.
Step 4
Install the downloaded software following the instructions of the installation wizard. Read the license agreement carefully and, if you are going to continue using the software, check the box indicating that you agree to the terms.
Step 5
Click the Finish button. In this case, the program will start updating the BIOS, do not turn off the computer yourself for a few minutes. Later, you will see the update status window, never shut down or restart your computer at this point.
Step 6
After you have a black window, when it says about the completion of the process, restart your computer and check if there are any changes in its work. You can start your usual activities on the computer immediately after the update is completed.
