In real life, hair extension is a rather expensive procedure. But in Photoshop, you can easily experiment with length and volume, try on new hairstyles. Alternatively, you can create a new look for the model.
Necessary
- - Photoshop program
- - suitable brushes for Photoshop
- - photo file
Instructions
Step 1
Download Photoshop. Find in it brushes that are suitable for the texture, with which you can believably draw hair. Or download one online.
Step 2
For clarity, take a photo of a girl with long hair, with a hairstyle similar to the one you want to draw.
Step 3
First, create a new layer - it is more convenient to make each strand on a new layer, so that later you can manipulate, rotate or transform it.
Step 4
Take the Eyedropper tool and select the darkest tone on the girl's hair. Select your chosen brush from the brush palette and start painting new strands, dark at first.
Step 5
After drawing the strand on a new layer, select it and press "Edit" (Edit) - "Free transform" (Free transform). Experiment with this tool to give the strands the desired shape and length and harmonize with the main hairdo.
Step 6
Now with the Eyedropper, take a light tone and add new light strands on top of the dark ones. Focus on how the light hits the model.
Step 7
If necessary, adjust the saturation and shades of the strands using the Hue / Saturation, Color balance, Curves, etc. tools.
Step 8
If the work is small and you just need to lengthen a couple of curls, try another hair lengthening method. Select the strand, copy it to a new layer (Layer via copy). Go to "Edit" and select the "Transform" tool.
Step 9
There are options here - experiment with them. Tool "Scale" (Scale) allows you to change the size of the selection, "Curvature" (Warp) - to stretch it in different directions and give the desired shape. To do this, move the frame manipulators until the result is completely satisfactory to you.
Step 10
When you're done and you like the result, don't forget to Merge layers before saving the image.
