Updating all computer drivers is possible in two ways: using standard Windows tools or third-party programs that determine the hardware configuration and scan their servers for updates.
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to update some of the drivers installed on the system, go to "Control Panel" - "System and Security" - "Windows Update". To go to this menu, you can also use the search in "Start" - "Find programs and files". Enter the word "update" in the text box and select "Update Center" from the results.
Step 2
In the left part of the window, click on the item "Search for updates". Go to the Select Updates page and view the list of drivers for your devices. Select the required hardware to upgrade, and then click the OK button.
Step 3
Go back to Windows Update and click Install Updates. Driver setup is complete. To apply the settings, wait until the process is complete and restart your computer.
Step 4
You can use third-party software to update all devices on your computer at the same time. Among the most popular is the DriverPack Solution application, which offers a large number of tools for configuring and updating PC hardware. Download the application from the developer's official website and install it.
Step 5
Run the program using the shortcut on the desktop and wait until the scan of the hardware parameters and already installed drivers is completed. To update all devices, click "Update All" and wait for the process to finish.
Step 6
To update each device individually and configure the updated devices, go to the "Options" menu of the program. All additional settings for the application will be displayed in the window. Check the box next to "Expert mode". Now, in the list of installed drivers, select only those that you want to update, then save the changes and click the "Smart Install" button.
Step 7
After the program finishes, restart your computer. The driver update is complete.
