For long-term storage of information, it is convenient to use CDs and DVDs. Devices for reading discs are very common nowadays: these are computers, and DVD-players, and CD-players. That is why it is convenient to transfer various information on disks: documents, music, films. This necessitates the ability to independently record information on this type of media.
Necessary
- - a computer with a CD-ROM writer;
- - Nero StartSmart program;
- - blank CD or DVD disc.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the Nero StartSmart program. Insert blank disc into CD-ROM.
Step 2
Select a menu item depending on the disc format you want to burn:
- if this is a music disc that you plan to listen to in a regular music center, then you need to use the "Make Audio CD" item;
- If you want to make a video disc, then you need to use the "Make video CD" item;
- If you want to burn a disc with any information at all, use the "Make data CD" or "Make data DVD" items depending on what medium you are going to record on (CD or DVD, respectively).
Step 3
A window has opened in front of you, designed to add files that you want to burn to disk. You can add any file to the list by simply dragging and dropping it into this window, or use the "Add" button to find the necessary files. In the lower part of the window, as you add files, an indication of the degree of disk fullness will occur. The indicator must not be allowed to reach the red line, otherwise the disc will not be written.
Step 4
After all the files for recording are selected, click the "Next" button. You will see the "Final recording settings" window. In it, you can assign a name to the disc, select the recording speed. Slower speeds reduce the chance of writing errors.
Step 5
After you have made the final settings, click the "Record" button. The process of burning the disc will begin. It will take a few minutes, after which the program will signal you that the recording has been completed successfully.
